The Fish Are Biting

Local anglers report that they are beginning to pull trout from Lake Cascade and the
perch & bass fishing is still going well. They are also pulling the stocked rainbow
and brown trout from Horsethief Reservoir although this will eventually slow down when
the water temperature rises. Smallmouth bass are also being caught in Riggins on the
Salmon River.

Adult Softball Signups

Registration for teams and players has begun. The McCall Parks and Recreation Department
will be accepting $238.50 until July 5th. The games are played on Monday through Thursday
and begin Monday, July 9th. Call the department at 634-3004 for more information.

Summer Reading Programs

The Cascade program begins Thursday June 14th. Register at the Cascade Public Library.
Call 382-4757. The McCall elementary program runs from June 26th through July 26th.
Registration forms are at the front desk of the McCall Public Library.
The middle school program is already happening from 10:30 a.m. until noon on Tuesdays.

Community Care Clinic

Beginning today the clinic will be open every Thursday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
in the Central District Health Department office at 703 N. First St. in McCall. This is right
accross from the Senior Citizen's Center. The intent of the clinic is to provide treatment to uninsured
adults before their condition becomes critical. For more information call 630-3023.

Youth Outdoor Games

Registration for the Youth Outdoor Games is available at McCall City Hall. The games run from June 18th through the 21st from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Those aged 3 to 12 are asked to join in the fun. For information call 634-3006.
