Blackhawk Mountain Triathalon August 4

Blackhawk Mountain Triathalon will take place on Saturday August 4th beginning at 9am for individuals and 9:06am for teams. There will be a 1.5k swim, 40k bike ride, and a 10k run. The Mountain Triathalon is a fundraiser for the Payette Lakes Ski Club. Registration packets can be picked up at Blackhawk, 112 N. 3rd St., McCall on Friday Aug. 3 from 5 to 7pm. Adams County Fair & Rodeo

The Adams County Fair and Rodeo will take place July 25 through 28 in nearby Council Idaho. This fun-filled fair will offer all the favorite hometown fair activities including 4h and open class exhibits, a 3-day rodeo and an exhibit hall hilight at the fair. Don't miss it!

3rd Annual Cardboard Regatta July 14

Adaptive Wilderness Sports of McCall will hold its annual Cardboard Boat Regatta Saturday July 14 on Payette Lake. The event is a fundraiser for AWeSOMe, whose mission is to provide outdoor recreation for people with disabilities. The regatta features teams that build boats using olny cardboard and duct tape. The teams then race on the lake along the shoreline to determine the 2007 champion. Awards will be given for: fastest boat, best looking boat, and most spectacular sinking -- named "The Titanic" award. There will also be a special division for kids. 4th of July Fireworks and More!

The McCall Area Chamber of Commerce will host a Fourth of July celebration beginning at noon Wednesday and ending with fireworks over Payette Lake at dusk. All events will be in downtown McCall -- from Art Robert's Park to Hotel McCall. Local station KDZY 98.3 will be broadcasting at Roberts Park from 1-4pm, giving out prizes including a Payette Lake Scenic Cruise. WAAF will be selling hot dogs next to the KDZY broadcast tent. Rupert's and Hotel McCall will be the site of an outdoor concert featuring three bands from 4:30 till 11pm. Come join the fun!
